Technical Cybersecurity Training for Utility Workforce (June 3-6/Egan Center, Anchorage)

The Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER), in partnership with Idaho National Laboratory (INL), is offering a free 3-day cybersecurity training opportunity for Alaska’s utility staff to learn technical skills to harden their systems, alongside the Secure Our Alaska Cybersecurity Conference (June 5, see below).

This is not your average cybersecurity training event. The Alaska training will be an opportunity to bring electric, water, and communications utilities (including tribal, cooperative, public power, territorial, and investor-owned utilities) together to train side-by-side with the military installations served by the utilities, and members of Alaska’s emergency response community who might be activated in a cybersecurity incident.

Registration is free but participants will be expected to cover their own costs for travel, lodging, and meals.
