Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan
In January, the state of Alaska in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) began work to update the 2007 Statewide Communication Interoperability Plan (SCIP). This effort is part outreach and part direction setting toward the future.
Efforts wrapped up in April on the final validation of the current and desired state and the goals and objectives for interoperable communications and CISA delivered the final, approved SCIP back to Alaska in early May. The document (you can read it here) will support the outlined goals and objections with implementation through relevant technical assistance.
