As the upgrade to the ALMR system continues into 2022, the Operations Management Office has received many questions on approved equipment for the system. As a reminder:
- Previously tested equipment as shown on the Approved Equipment List, including non-TDMA, may continue to be utilized until the User and Executive Councils have set a date to sunset all non-TDMA subscriber units.
- No new non-TDMA equipment may be added to the system.
It is recommended that member agencies that are planning to purchase new radios ensure that they will be “TDMA Phase II” compatible and that feature is enabled upon purchase. Approved equipment that is TDMA capable is noted on the approved equipment list.
